⚒️ This site is still under construction and incomplete. Once it's in stages where I only plan to tweak minor things this disclaimer will be removed. I don't plan on keeping entire chapters of information on here if it's not appropriate.
This website contains all the research I did for my work-in-progress Ironhand fic series, Ignis Aurum Probat. It also functions somewhat as a shrine to the Ironhand and Gondian characters of Baldur's Gate 3. I primarily wanted to make a neocities for it because my lore documents were really long and hard to navigate, and this is more fun!
Note: With the exception of the actual events, texts, and details of BG3, I don't claim that my findings are canon to the series. However, I wanted to flesh out the story more, so many details about the lives of deep gnomes, the Underdark, Ironhand followers, Gond's followers, the events of Baldur's Gate series and campaigns, and other aspects of their plot did and do inspire me for this fic series.
Due to the design of the Forgotten Realms and its ever-changing nature, I try to keep all my sources sorted and dated. But this is my fic and I'm treating it similarly to running a campaign: I can choose whichever lore details make the story more interesting and discard details that don't matter or conflict with others that I feel make the story better.
More explanation about how I'm using sourcebooks, supplements, campaigns, and adventure modules:
Whatever is stated in the most recent Baldur's Gate books supplants information from previous Baldur's Gate books. So everything from edition-neutral books like Ed Greenwood Presents: Elminster's Forgotten Realms is canon unless supplanted by the Baldur's Gate books. Everything in the Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide is canon unless replaced in Descent into Avernus or Murder in Baldur's Gate. Everything in Faiths & Avatars or Faiths & Pantheons would be considered "canon" unless supplanted by EGP:EFR or any of the Baldur's Gate books. If I find articles from magazines that have fun and interesting information that make the story stronger and doesn't have extremely conflicting updates, I may include it (and it will be listed here).

I'm currently using the background image from the Candlekeep site, cursors from Baldur's Gate 1 and Baldur's Gate 3, and cursors I made myself from relevant Forgotten Realms and Baldur's Gate series images (like the iron band of Gaerdal Ironhand for the Ironhand page).
