This is actually just a test page to play with game files as background images or to style a cute design based on the game's UI. But since it's up for fun, maybe I can also think about the relationships between the characters and discuss that more here.

I can also talk about all the fics I've plotted and written. (Most of my fics are currently in editing stages before posting)

Ignis Aurum Probat is a series of fics about the Ironhands. It's a huge mix of pre-canon, missing scenes, and post-canon, with a lot of development about things they might do for training, their relationships with each other, and how they move past their problems together after not destroying the Gondians. The first fic is a missing scene fic during the travel from Moonrise Towers to Baldur's Gate, following Wulbren, Nickels, Nimble, and Barcus. The second fic is a Laridda/Philomeen fic where Laridda helps Philomeen process her upset at Wulbren's failure to take out the Gondians when he had the chance. Right now I only have 3 fics written, and the last one is the Barcus/Wulbren slow burn where Barcus helps Wulbren stop caring about the Gondians and try to make him care about serving his god properly.

I also have a post-canon relationship sabotage romantic comedy fic. It was the first Barcus/Wulbren fic I began writing, but I started drafting Ignis Aurum Probat because I needed to think about events that would lead up to this one (it's currently untitled). Jet, a deep gnome bard, hero of Baldur's Gate, is invited by Barcus to his wedding... to Wulbren. Barcus has also asked Jet to write their calling song, so Jet has plenty of reasons to visit the couple and see for himself whether or not this bethrothal is a good idea. At first he assumes Barcus is writing in code and needs help, but arrives to see they really are together. Jet decides to do everything in his power to try to end this wedding before it begins.

And lastly I have a Barcus/Wulbren/Zanner hacker AU. The world is the same, so "hacks" are on the steampunk type of devices, but the story setup is a little different. Barcus is a grey hat security consultant who inadvertently led to black hat hacker Wulbren's arrest and imprisonment. Wulbren is a hacktivist type and at the beginning of the story, he's just been released from prison and is coming back to work for Baldur's Gate, thanks to a program that Barcus initiated. While they do have actual work, most of the events so far are designed around a tenday-long CTF competition where Barcus, Wulbren, Zanner, and the others have to work together in various challenges.

I started out writing a Barcus/Zanner fic but after researching a lot, I ended up caring too much about Barcus/Wulbren, so that's on the backburner for now. I'm much more invested in all the above fics.
